Tap into VEGUS NERVE, reduce stress, pain and gut health in midtown

decrease mental stress > decrease physical pain... it's as simple as that...just RELAX!

Vagus Nerve Stimulation

The Parasympathetic System functions involuntarily/automatically in our body (HR, BP, digestion, )  It is the reaction of the  vagus nerve and your blood vessels. The Sympathetic Nervous system and the Parasympathetic Nervous system (PNS) makes up the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).

PNS works during the “digestion and resting” states. If the parasympathetic system kicks in, the body will increase in salivation and activities in digestion as well as decrease in heart rate and other sympathetic responses. This phase (PNS) is when the body increases it's healing and rests. of the body. The Sympathetic nervous system (SNS) is when the body is in the "fight or flight" state and you want to avoid being in the STRESS state for prolong time.

If the SNS (stress response) over works, you enter into the "fight, flight, and freeze", release of the stress hormone (cortisol/adrenaline) occurs in the body. Internally, the PNS(relax system), the vagus nerve kicks in and says, "RELAX!”. The lucky people with a stronger vagal tone can rest, recover, and restore quicker.

Higher Parasympathetic (Relax state) function has an inverse relationship with the sympathetic (stress state) system.

The amazing benefits of healthy vagal tone are:

  1. Inflammation reduced> an anti-inflammatory signal is sent by the Vegus nerve to other parts of the body.  This decreases muscle tone and activation of vagal tone> reduces tense muscles/trigger point tenderness.
  2. Enhanced circulation/lymph flow>   Dealing with stress, anxiety and fear are improved when the Vegus nerve tone is higher because it sends information from the abdomin to the brain.  These signals help you heal and recover quicker from stressful situations.
  3. Reduced pain> decreasing stress will decrease pain

Since the Vegus nerve connects from the abdomin to the brain, it indicates there is "mind-body" connection> simply put> decrease mental stress> decrease pain. This may sometimes explain why you are still experiencing physical pain when ALL other diagnostic tests are negative but always important to consult your doctor.

Damage to The Vegus Nerve Can Be Caused By:

  • Alcohol (chronic) abuse
  • Surgeries and infections.
  • Diabetes

Parasympathetic System (PNS-Destress) Can:

  • PNS: includes nerves outside the brain and Spinal Cord > healing/recovery
  • What is the " wandering nerve"? It's the Vegus Nerve and it's the longest cranial nerve (CN10) and travels from the brain to the lower abdomin.
  • CN10 Vegus nerve controls  80% of the PNS (resting system/low stress)
  • Decrease HR and BP
  • Aids in Healing
  • Recovery
  • Immunity
  • Rest, Digest and  Repair

* Vagus nerve is deeply connected to the heart, gut and voice. Therefore, speaking, yelling, singing and outside stress can stimulate the sympathetic (stress) system.  Decreasing stress and improving Vagal tone can improve anxiety, stress and overall health...it affects our gut-brain health!

What Happens When the Nervous System is Regulated

  • Health (physically and mentally)
  • Wellness
  • Recovery and healing
  • Development, peace,  homeostasis

What Happens When the Nervous System is NOT Regulated?

  • Anxiety/PTSD/Stress mental imbalances
  • Disease/illness,
  • Abdominal dysfunction (thirst, nausea/vomiting, ...
  • Increased physical pain
  • Sensory spectrum issues

MPS Therapy: Vagal Nerve Stimulation with the Dolphin Neurostim

Regulates the ANS used for pain, mental stress/anxiety, disease and wellness!

  • Dolphin deep Vagal Nerve Stimulation, Non-invasive  (in the past, it was inserted in the neck near the nerve under the skin)
  • A new delivery option (only surgically in past)
  • Passive Treatment
  • Deep Treatment
  • Easy and powerful
  • The goal of treatment is to decrease pain and disease by indirectly tapping into the Vagus Nerve.

Can be used for 15 mins added on with manual massage therapy or other therapies.

  • individual points
  • scar release
  • massage, myofascial, trigger point therapy

Contraindications

  • Implanted medical devices (pacemakers, implanted hearing aids)
  • Metallic in or near the neck (stent, bone plate, bone screw)
  • Pregnancy
  • Cancer
  • Epilepsy, Seizures,
  • Wounds, sores, infection on or near the neck
